Get it from the Microsoft Store

Open any everyday spreadsheet

.xlsx, .xls, .xlsm and .xltx workbooks, and .csv, .tsv and .txt data files. Password-protected workbooks open with their password.

Edit and save

Cells, formulas, formatting, rows, columns and sheets. Sort, filter, find and replace, freeze panes. Save as .xlsx, .xls or .csv.

Print it properly

A live preview with paper size, orientation, margins, fit to one page, page range, print area, gridlines and headings.

XLSX to PDF

Export a sheet or the whole workbook to PDF with the same page settings you print with.

Never lose your work

A recovery copy of unsaved changes is saved automatically as you work. After a crash or power cut, the app offers it back.

CSV without surprises

Separator and encoding are detected, with a preview. Leading zeros and long ID numbers stay exactly as they are.

Good to know

XLSX Editor is made for everyday spreadsheets: budgets, time sheets, invoices, lists and data exports. It does not run macros, and it does not create charts, pivot tables or conditional formatting. It cannot open .xlsb or .ods files.

Free and Pro

From version 1.1, the free edition opens, edits and prints every supported file, saves CSV without limits, and saves up to 3 different workbooks a day as .xlsx or .xls (saving the same workbook again doesn't count). XLSX Editor Pro, a one-time purchase with no subscription, removes the daily limit and adds PDF export, full page setup (margins, fit to page, print area, gridlines, headings) and the dark theme. If you used version 1.0, you keep everything you had.

It works offline, needs no account, and has no ads. Your files stay on your PC.
